The Challenge - Day 13

Oh my, I look HIDEOUS today, the remains of a bad day, no real make-up etc, but I shall persevere!

Black is always my safe little option, but as I got up (far too late mind) I saw some sunshine, so I did add some teensy bit of colour.

Again, my M&S crops, a Collectif cardigan, and the top is also Collectif (I must get my hands on the dress in the same print - come on Challenge, be over so I can purchase again!)

Seeing me with such a weird looking face, tomorrow there will be lots of make up :)

The Challenge - Day 12

The return of the quiff! I simply couldn't be without it any longer, and its my biggest one yet! I went a bit more rock today anyway, so it seemed appropriate. I will, within the next few days do a little tutorial on the awesomeness that is the quiff (my first video - eek) and will attempt to go a little bit bigger too, but in the meantime, I am hoping it will survive till tomorrow :)

But first of all, here is the outfit for the 12th day:

Admittedly, this is the same Collectif cardigan I wore yesterday (apparently it is the only skull related thing I have, which seems weird), with my M&S (yes) cropped jeans, and my newest addition to my St. Pauli collection (a Hamburg football club, I'm not football orientated, but its more of a cult thing these days) which I got when I went to back to the homeland a few weeks ago.

But enough of this, here is the quiff:

yay!

The Challenge - Day 11

I'm so tired, I may actually pass out. Oh the joys of getting up too early, going to lectures, followed by work, and then some overtime. Oh joyful times. I won't bore you with the story of me getting hideously lost in some corridor and thus bonding with some uni mates, instead, todays outfit. Well, it wasn't a Collectif day, so its a bit more conservative today:

Next trousers, Collectif cardigan (shocking), H&M strappy top and some boots I got for my birthday last year. And not forgetting my beloved swallow necklace, also sourced from Collectif :)

...and still no quiff, I feel I am violating myself....

The Challenge - Day 10

Today I dressed like the dirty student that I am :)

Today was a day of very little outside time, so I dressed to fit this occasion:

old, old Road Jeans, an old, old Led Zepp T-shirt that suffered at the hand of my scissors, and an old H&M hoodie. It's not entirely rare for me to dress like this, its the lack of quiff that is shocking, and no lipstick, it kinda freaks me out :)

Tomorrow I am back at work, so grungy me shall not prevail.

Painting The Town...Grey

I have finally branched out from my usual red nail polish. I do quite like grey, though I'm not convinced it's classed as a colour, nonetheless, I got this Bourjois Nail polish for Christmas from a good friend, and actually got round to trying it, and my, it sure is handy.

It claims: "1 nail = 1 stroke = 1 sec.", and this is not far fetched.

Instead of the usual gloopy brush, which, if you're as useless as I am, leads to just as much varnish next to the nail as on the nail, but this one is better, yes, better:

It has even coverage, though for my big thumb nails, I may apply another layer, mainly because I regularly fail at these things. And the grey has a nice little glittery shine to it, making it less boring (though  I like boring grey).

It really is a matter of 1, 2, 3, and its all done. It also dries pretty quickly, which is good for impatient folks, like me, who as soon as they have painted their nails can think of 3 gazillion things they need to be doing - with their hands.

I think its time to invest in a few more of these!

The Challenge - Day 9

...another last minute, "safe" outfit, very necessary on a fat day.

Unfortunately, the manflesh's photography makes me look even shorter than usual, due to the 1 foot height difference, and Rudi also managed to sneak into the picture.

I previously wore these jeans, I believe it was Day 2, the top is a good old H&M one, and the cardigan is, surprise, surprise, from Collectif. The scarf has also made a previous appearance, a vintage one from Shrewd. Though I was able to purchase another few at Old Spitalfields market today, so keep your eyes peeled for new ones (as opposed to repeats).

The Challenge - Day 8

...and again I have gone for a nautical feel, and once again, I rather liked this one.

I actually got the top a while ago from a charity shop, but was never quite sure what to do with it, but I'm quite pleased with the look. The batwing style sleeves do hide some bingo-loving arms. The only negative is the panels under the armpit, lets call them side-boob-modestity-panel, as they do sit rather high, and I did experience a bit of chaffing. No pain, no gain, or something similarly disappointing :)

The belt is, as previously a gift from my parents, and thus of unknown origin. The skirt is from Collectif (if you hadn't noticed, I own a lot of Collectif stuff, it comes with the job).

I may actually plan ahead for tomorrows outfit, and maybe, as per yesterday, attempt something new.
